Matthew has had a life long obsession with music. It really kicked off 'properly' in the 90's when he discovered the late 80s and early 90's UK Indie scene. He was very taken with a band from Stourbridge - The Wonder Stuff. All musical roads then led from there. Throughout the 90s Matthew was immersed in all things Britpop and UK alerternative stylings. Small cracks of US and Australian influences crept in - R.E.M, Sugar and the Indigo Grirls.

Matthew made the voyage over to the UK in 1998 for 3 years and revelled in all things post Britpop. A great time.

Since returning to Australia Matthew has been lucky enough to continue his music journey through some well targeted travel, that has coincided with favourite bands playing iconic venues and slowly but surely amassing a knock out vinyl collection!

Unlike Ash, Matthew's guitar chops are for his ears only. It hasn't stopped Matthew getting a few nice guitars in his collection - an Antoria Jazzstar (made famous by Miles Hunt) and a nice EJ 200 Epiphone and a majestic White Falcon Gtretsch (a gift from his lovely family).
